Comwat – Show where your are
"What are you doing right now?" - this is the most common question ordinary networks usually ask their members. Comwat however takes networking people one step further by asking "Where are you right now?".
The Comwat idea is simple: New communities and networks are virtually flooding the web, more than 50 percent of German internet users benefit from web 2.0 networks by now. On the other hand it is simply impossible these days to keep track of all friends, family members or just interesting people in the world wide web. Comwat members create their own meta profile including links to all of their other community and network profiles, blogs or homepages. When they enter a webpage by using one of those links, all friends or all Comwat members or the whole world will know where they can be found at that moment.
Compared to existing bookmark pages Comwat doesn't focus on links – the essential part of Comwat is the user himself. When you log in to Comwat you can promptly identify in which community you can find your friends right now to meet them online. Additionally Comwat members get information about which other members watched their profiles, who is just being online at page x and who is a member of page y.
The company
Comwat is a product developed, financed and operated by Parkteam AG, Wuppertal/Germany. The company was founded in 2001 and runs the matching community e64.de (since March 2007) and parkscout.de, Europes's most important theme park portal. Additionally Parkteam AG is engaged in travel and leisure inustries (B2C and B2B).
